I guess we get to find out how many more jobs are going away and how they'll expect the remaining employees to do more with less under the guise of being more "agile". Not even 3 months ago it was "we can't cut and cope our way to profitability..." When will the constant re-orgs end and sHell return to its glory days again when job security wasn't the biggest concern for everyone? #ThatsAGoodQuestion

@ka Layoffs never stop. They will always be on the table. The sooner people accept it the better they can plan the long game. It’s the hunger games don’t get it twisted.
@k0 this is rumor everything fine here , no layoff no reorg here
@k6 what happened man , layoff is back within shell?
Layoffs are a part of life now. Don’t overspend or live beyond your means. If you’re not saving 50% of your income at least you will be in a bad spot eventually.
@k0 whatever may be computational folks at stcb will chill , nothing will happen to us
@jm Impact conversations started, new org chart announcement soon, reapply for new roles if impacted, cross your fingers, celebrate the record profits, enjoy working in an environment full of anxiety and uncertainty for the next 3 months. You know, the typical Shell reorg.🥳
@OP Any news what was announced yeterday
what is happening with computational team in Bangalore they seem to enjoy
Everyone at Shell is so narcissistic and concerned about them selves only. 2027 and 2028 are going to be rough…
Who ever posted this you are spot on thank you for being honest. The people need to hear all of this because it’s true. Now which groups in Shell for layoffs I can tell you this lubricants the mangers say we bring in big money no job cuts here. Is it true who knows I do know for a fact they lie to your face.
@f2 I think it’s helpful to share which group. Saying all of shell is obvious and too broad
@d8
Please stop asking which part of Shell. It is all of Shell. The question is when not which. When is XYZ part of Shell effected, this is constantly happening, when is it your turn?
When is this upstream? When is this downstream? When is marketing? When is legal? etc.
Which part of Shell is it about?
Which teams were affected so far?
Create months of uncertainty, announce another re-org, eliminate more jobs, and pile the work onto whoever remains. Then, as part of Mental Health Awareness, remind everyone to “check in on each other,” because nothing says Care for People like making job security everyone’s biggest source of anxiety. #PeoplePrinciples #MentalHealthMattersApparently
Another layoff brought to you by "People Principles - Care for People, Safety, Business Continuity and Communication"
@bz If the severance is the same it doesn't matter if they have SVS. Just like upstream 2024, ask your line manager how they are going to keep people who want to leave. Shell is too chickenshit to fire people without the exercise of open resourcing, so just apply for all promotions. Better yet, in different departments. (In reality, as soon as you ask the question they will let you go).
More than 10%. Existing vacancies aren't being filled and no SVS being offered. Just the 3wks per YOS.
Would think it’s about time the Board of Directors put on big pairs of pants and started hard-challenging the CEO and SVPs on this constant flailing.
No more nodding dog heads around the mahogany table, then off with smiles to a nice restaurant.
Want an example of execs having been promoted beyond their capabilities?
Well, here ya go.
There is a little known fact. For each of these named layoffs they get a stooge to write a set of new ways of working. They name it something like "must win", "5 business imperatives", "project phoenix" even "new ways of working" The Senior leaders read it, then they lay off people without rhyme or reason. Scape goats are fired, backstabbers are saved, and high talent voluntarily leaves with a package. Almost nobody actually sees these instructions, but the stooge who wrote them believes that they influenced something and set Shell on the right path
@an 10% of Norco staff.
Which organization now?
