Out of 30 or so AVP, VP, SVP on the org chart there is a single non-Indian. Just one. They talked for an hour mostly about AI with little specifics about the plan. Answered a QA about rebadging and gave a 3 minute non-answer.

Was at telecom parkway a few years and it’s discussing how many h1b1s VZ brings in. Attempted to promote many times and of course passed over for an Indian with less experience. Ended up moving to gnt. Also they ate all the ducks from the apartment complex (ask anyone from temple terrace)

Yup....they started discriminating and only promoting Indians a long time ago in IT, and the culture and quality suffered....
@c3 a long-winded non-answer to end up saying "stay tuned". The longer he went the clearer it was that the decision has been already made.
I wonder if those close to retirement will be given the choice to retire.

IT has been dysfunctional and deluded for years, Infosys was just the nail in the coffin
Dang just pointing at the elephant in the room. Respect. The irony there is the question regarding the quality of our contractors through these vendors. They did not even know how bad it is. We have contractors that cannot even utilize git cli, operate kibana, utilize dev tools in Chrome. I mean fundamental dev skills completely lacking. Then the answer is ask for a different contractor. Ok fine and when you do that you get a equal or worse contractor in return. Contractors at VZ pretty much just build tech debt and bugs. I don’t think they can make functional features at all. It’s not a subset of the contractors either, it is the majority. Then in return for putting up with this nonsense our senior leadership is exploring rebadging us with no severance. No wonder they’re all fat and miserable. They could not find peace in life if it slapped them in their chubby faces.
Yep..those vps/svps will all keep their jobs doing nothing..everyone else gets rebadged
Agree. Masterclass on how to dehumanize the staff. They’re lucky the AI hype cycle is giving them cover for their feckless leadership.
