Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Do you believe in Intel?

Be honest. Do you believe we're capable of returning to our former glory, or are we well past that point by now?

@OP leadership needs to change. Not just top but all the way through the middle. Middle management is still riddled with people that have no management skills or technical skills for that matter and play petty games to cling on. The technology side is a disaster. The foundry side still tries to run like it's the 90s. Internal tooling is as bad as ever... especially with all this vibe coding cr-p now. We have software engineers sitting doing nothing one week each month because they run out of tokens. We're all going back to spreadsheets again...

I do. It has legal ownership of tangible physical locations and assets. Of IP. There is a website. People have log-ins. Some of those people produce products. Some product financial statements about the business. And on.

Intel does seem real. I believe.

Id--t leadership that got us into this mess still mostly kept their jobs and have comfy retirements lined up. Frontline engineers who poured their hearts into their work got discarded like trash.

Whatever remained of the glory days, which honestly wasn’t much by then, died in 2016. Any hope of things returning to the way they once were completely disappeared a decade ago. They just haven’t gotten the memo yet.

Do not believe in Intel. Intel Foundry is not as good as what the managers boasted. It is scamming LBT. LBT should face the fact and find what is the real issue in IFS, what is the real root cause of no external customers. If LBT does not know or being cheated, then Intel will never recover.

Layoff just means "clueless". The more layoff, the worse.
