Sounds like nobody impacted today, or too small for any traffic here.
Usually this site is blowing up by this time of the day - must not be that big of a round?
My notice came around 10 AM for a mtg at 11 with my second line manager back in March.
@ca they won’t set up a meeting for next week. They will actually send an invite early Thursday mine was around 7:30 am and meeting was at 9:00
@r6 it will be someone else can’t remember her name someone high up. The invite stated “Business update” or something like that . Will prob get invite in the morning at 7:30 or so!

@OP I have heard tomorrow will be a massive lay off day! I try not to listen to rumors but every layoff on this app has been correct

My meeting invite was sent 15 minutes prior. On a Thursday morning. I knew right away what it meant and honestly it was one of the best things to happen to me. It forced me to get a new job (obviously) and I love my new job so much.
@vc thats what I am gathering now. my gut tells me my 1:1 this thursday is set up to tell me i am done. my manager probably wants me to think its just a normal meeting for us.
@r6 As a former people manager (yes I was also RIFed) I've seen layoff meetings as many ways as you can imagine. Usually as an organizational update received an hour or less before the meeting with someone from HR. In some cases it was by the VP delivering news. In the last round before I left I was able to contact my members individually and let them know. The notices are dones as early as possible but sometimes run into early afternoon. They are also almost always done on Thrusdays but can be done any day of the week.

@cs does the meeting cones from your manager or HR? And does the meeting usually happens first thing in the morning let say 9am local time at least?
@db they'll come out slowly. June batch took a while to surface as people are not here posting. The heads counts under CIOs etc tell the real story. It's dropped a lot July 2nd week once the RIFed names finally dropped off the system.
It doesn’t seem this week’s layoff were too bad for what it rumors had predicted.

@ca You usually wouldn't get a RIF meeting until a couple hours before it happens.
I just got a random morning meeting scheduled for next week. I already know what's about to happen
