Assigned to a location officially on RTO letter but chose Dallas instead. Will I get axed for moving to a location other than the RTO specified one? I feel like I will get axed for that but supervisor does not think so and yes I asked multiple times. Anyone in the same boat?

Why would it be called a hub if you couldn’t work there? There’s only like 4 of them. If it’s a hub office, you can absolutely work there. People here just trying to do John’s dirty work and instill fear.
You have to work out of assigned office. There is a reason the Presence report notes in office hours and whether that is the assigned office. Come on people, this isn’t new.
You can't sue yourself out of a sad life.
Moving for RRO won’t save your job. Just read all the people tricked into it and found out last Wed.
You can work at any hub office you want, assigned or not. That’s why it’s a hub.
You can work in any hub office you want. That’s the entire point of it being a hub
Many have done so, you wouldn’t be the first. Most are fine. The few that you hear who get axed after moving to hub are not anywhere close to the majority that move & are just fine. Know that hub folks are also getting surpluses, so a particular hub location can’t necessarily “save you”. There’s some algorithm that determines whether you get surplused - but whatever that may be, having a good relationship with your management chain can help. Seems like at least a VP can fight for folks on their team, who gets to stay virtual, who can WFH a few days a week, etc.
