Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Morale at Verizon

As for talk that morale is low among Verizon employees right now, Entner quoted former Verizon CEO Denny Strigl, saying “happy people don’t make numbers. Numbers make happy people.”

Back in the Strigl days, “this was a carrier that was kicking a-s and taking names. It was winning,” he said. Over the past several years under former CEO Hans Vestberg, “they got kicked around, and morale in a company that is losing accounts and market share is not a happy place.”

Soon into his tenure, Schulman announced a massive lay-off of more than 13,000 workers and he’s been candid about how AI is going to replace workers.

Naturally, morale is low, Entner said.

“When Verizon turns around, gains subscribers, gains accounts and wins, morale will soar,” he said.

Circling back to Clark, she said the latest price and loyalty plans are just the beginning. Since Schulman took over as CEO in October, they’ve been centered on putting the customer first.

@jd Personally individuals must BLAME Vz executives! Why... because they are the people making the decision that have the MOST impact to the business. Take 5G mmwave as an example. We workers bees did not make the decision to spend BILLIONS on a produce that only broadcast 300 feet and takes specialized systems to bring that signal into your home when the node is 50 feet from your home! Billions spent on this, BILLIONS! I have been in RF for 41 years now, MIT grad and anyone with any basic knowledge of RF knew this would never work at street level! But it was the EXECUTIVES that made the decision to deploy. So what are we doing now, we are removing that 5G mmW and putting CBand in its place! Why do we have the layoffs we have....? Because we had EXECUTIVES spending billion on a technology that would never work... the 5G hype beat out actual physics thus the workers bees take the brunt of the losses with layoffs! Everyone, the board included should have been removed before a single worker bee lost their jobs in layoffs.

Personally indiviuals need to step up and stop blaming Vz Executives. Being in Bz 35+ years it has always been the vase C Level focus on WIFM. Whats in it for me.

Focus on yourself and family... this way when you leave you leave knowing you did it my way!!

Now we have verizon india starting to take over network rolls. Yeah that seems like a great idea to have people outside the country have the ability to cripple the network.
Let alone think of the communication issue we already have with tower crews.
Let's take someone that speaks spanglish and make them talk to someone in india...surly nothing with get sc--wed up
