Get ready for deep cuts in Q4

Surprise, surprise!

The EC goal with this year's annual planning, will be to cut to the bone. The internal transformation is not going fast enough to keep up with competition, so internal development efforts will be severely cut. Why invest in outdated and undocumented infrastructure? The cost savings will be used for sourcing the needed functionality outside.

It will be a sad Christmas for many!

"undocumented infrastructure" .. if code is Git and You have AI you can extarct and rewrite in weeks for internal and few months in months with prod ready code using right AI model.. always use HIGH THINKING HIGH REASONING model.

I doubt it! I’ve been hearing rumors of deep cuts since the huge layoff a few years ago that ruined so many lives. Some people are still struggling due to that. I’ve watched as they’ve hired tons of people following that mess. The only cuts I want to see are to the many worthless directors, managing directors and executives who have been getting a free ride off of that company for years! Start with the SF clique!

Tiny and Menace need to go. Says too. They’ve snowed the Bored for years with PAAS, cloud, SAAS, modernization, and AI. There’s still a mainframe. SQL. Overbuilt datacenters. Ricky isn’t bright. But even he should get it. We aren’t Agile. We merged with green at huge cost. What’s the saying? Fool me once, shame on you? What is it for the hundredth?

I think the OP is referring to the modernization of apps and infrastructure. Makes sense to me. Why throw good money after bad, when you can buy new?

Every quarter they have deep cuts. Been like that for years. Not even sure why they bother hiring. Their business model is HR with focus on employee terminations - not money management.
