Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Travel budgets

Listening to higher ups on their going to this country or that country is ridiculous. Constant layoffs, taking away tools needed for some roles makes it seem like a waste of budgets for the higher ups to be jetting all over the globe. These in person meetings could have been a Zoom and saved $.

@e9 Sure, except I know people that have worked for 10+ years at the company and not even once met their manager or their team for that matter. "Face to face collaboration" only seems to matter as long as it's on the employee's dime.

Then none of the shareholders are against wasteful expenses in every company. That's crazy.

How dare u! Leadership's just following RTO. They need to meet their colleagues in person , and with colleagues being global, they have no other option but to travel. All for the sake of collaboration! Remember, nothing is faster than human interaction!

I was shown the calendar entries of one of the VPs on a business trip.
Fly into India on Saturday. Sunday is a shopping and golf. All the meetings are arranged for the VP.
Paid vacation.

So many if these so-called "international business trips" are a load of horse shiiiit. Our VP once told everyone he was going on a 2-week business trip internationally. That was a lie. One of our teammates, who was on vacation at the time, saw him in the Bahamas. Dell leadership is full of lying sc-mbags.

I can guarantee you Jeff Clark’s annual meal expenses are higher than the combined salaries of everyone commenting on this post

We are all numbers. They couldn't care less of about your complaints. Think of all the surveys you've completed. Has anything gotten better? Nothing, zero, zip. We are in cost cutting mode.
