Job market is terrible now

I'm not worried because we made major sacrifices early on and paid off our home a couple years ago in our early 40s. Could put food on the table, pay property tax (4k annual) and keep the lights on driving Uber temporarily. Lifestyle would take a massive hit but not going to be super stressed out over it.
If your making a good income- live like a broke college student for 5 years and pay the house off and all other debts. You stop worrying about these things when you have no payments.
The job market has BEEN terrible for a while now.
1/3 ? 95% and nobody would notice.
One third of upper management could be let go and no one would even notice.
