Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Will be get severance even if we get employed elsewhere

I heard contradicting statements on whether we will continue to get severance even if we join else where.

The SSN is linked in central database across employers. So they will know when you get other job, they are not relying on you to tell them.

I have to imagine this is spelled out clearly in your severance documents. It would be quite an oversight if not.

Here’s my advice: 1. don’t tell your manager/hr/others you don’t trust. 2. Don’t update your LinkedIn until you’ve gotten every penny of severance and other payments from fidelity 3. Go to theworknumber.com and call and ask to lockout your report.
