Why are we spending so much time talking about the chevron way history? Trying to rationalize current decisions?

@1f5 AK is mostly absent. Just like her boss.

I didn’t think there was any way that anybody would be less popular than her predecessor EN.. but man her LT hates her.

@1fk no not really. Listening to KG reminds me of Boomhauer on King of the Hill. No one understands him. And he’s a psg 30 IT person. It’s truly unbelievable how Boomhauer got there.

@gt, the funniest thing was in a townhall. Listening to LC try to explain the Chevron Way history to a group, who mostly, had been with the company a lot longer then he has.

@b4 absolutely true. Why is LC into ADO at the micro level if not looking for where to cut people. It’s not to create tasks and stories. AK motto “let’s replace Chevron talented long term workers with GM or EY or engine!!!” https://www.linkedin.com/in/anu-krishnan-ai?utm_source=share_via&utm_content=profile&utm_medium=member_ios

Unbelievable? Believe it! Ruthless.

How many of you see LC on the 3 pm woodlands express bus home? Maybe the 4 pm? I do…

You might say so what, you’re working the same hours to be taking off the same time as him.

Yeah, well, the only difference is that I know IT. And I make 10x less than that useless figurehead

@gt yes!

Just shut up, Mike. You don’t really care about the Chevron Way.

You can’t take this Chevron Way stuff from Mike, talking about integrity. He repeated that word a few times… all the whilst he’s allowing LC to do the most unethical thing in IT with all the EY kickbacks for his friends and former boss. Just shut up, Mike. You don’t really care about the Chevron Way.

also, that post by @a6 (see below "They’re definitely missing the mark. Culture is just a buzzword at Chevron") deserves it's own thread, I am sure more people would pile on. it resonates for almost everyone.

I do not respect anyone making strategic decisions right now. that's my position.

The answer to the question on promotion was demoralizing. sure, we’ll all be happy to be recognized instead of promoted. Thanks eimear!

The first step in building trust is an aggressive forced ranking system and arbitrary culling of the bottom 5%. If that doesnt work then we should accelerate plans to have US personnel train their replacements in India.

Lots of talk about building back trust? In the first place, No acknowledging how was it lost… leaves room to think current talks it is not an honest intent to build it back..

They’re definitely missing the mark. Culture is just a buzzword at Chevron. Culture is built on well established and earned trust and no one trusts leadership to make decisions with employees in mind right now. We’ve been asked what we want over and over again and they blatantly disregard our answers. We wanted flexibility, they called us back to the office, implemented horrible seating arrangements, and started monitoring our badge activity. we wanted stability, they dragged us through 18 months of uncertainty. They insisted a new structure would simplify things and instead we have too many people trying to make decisions, nothing is getting done in the way this new model promised, we’re tired and overworked and under-resourced. A brochure won’t fix that. So many people around me are checked out and uninterested.
