Downstream VPs managers ruining Upstream, Uncon experienced folks ruining Deepwater and Deepwater folks ruining Uncon.
Yes we need cross fu ctional experience, but not Leaders/managers. They come and make people do uncecessary studies and projects which are doomed to fail. The upstream industry is more than 100 years old, yet these d-mb bozoz think they can change the world.

Proportional value of downstream to upstream work is the reason downstreamers were never made senior executives outside of downstream. DW is just bringing his buddies along

Interesting take. Should have just let uncon be 100% its own entity. With a bigger picture to fit into pipeline or whatever for efficiencies. But left it alone. Everything is broken with a broken evaluation system leading the way. Wrong people put in important spots due to politics or just ignoring. Cant wait to head out.
