Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Why care?

Bank needs happy employees to build profit. Why care about producing quality work? They dont care about us. Missed risk? Oh well. Unhappy customers? Oh well. Lost accounts? Oh well. Because guess what? U stripped us of dignity and respect and comp. What's left to care about? We will just buy our time until they eventually cut all of us. Let em think their highly bloated team of managers and leaders will carry them to victory and profits.

@a1 Overachieving never got anything more here. Growth has been non-existent for a looooong time unless you are friends with the bosses.

I’ve been giving the bank a solid 70% effort so far this year. Just enough to get back without causing any waves. Merit su-ks this year and will only get worse next. Overachieving gets nothing here anymor

@dp more like the bank needs the money. CLEARLY, they are hurting with the way they are desperately moving and begging for customers.

@a9 let them take my work for half the cost so they can produce twice the output at 100 times poorer quality, IF any of the work is done correctly in the first place. Been doing this for a couple decades and if I've learned anything, it's tgat offshore/onshore contractors are simply seat fillers - Worthless and that incudes C-suite automatons. US Bank is already Bank of India anyway. I'm sure we'll be selling cellular phone deals and samosa dip soon.

I also do not care. No raise while doing a 2-3 person job. I’m pushed away from this horrid diseased place. Until then, I will do the bare minimum while looking for my next job. I expect to find one soon but I’m really looking forward to telling HR what I really feel about this place of doom and gloom on my last day.

@a9 I'm sorry, but have you worked with offshore contractors? It's pretty well known that they won't produce without heavy oversight. It's not a knock, just a fact.

@a9 India produce twice the output? Bwahahaha you CLEARLY haven't worked with people in India. They are sooooo bad at their jobs. I've yet to work with 1 offshore contractor in that country who knew what they were doing.

🤣🤣 Twice the output you are fu--ing hilarious. If the output is sh-t, maybe

So the f what! It is what it is and its caca. Im not gonna be run by fear when its a lottery at this point. They dont care if u comply with every rule and go above and beyond. If you make their spreadsheet, youre gone. Fear can control you but its not gonna control me because in the end we all lose. If u stay, youre dead anyways and if youre laid off youre temporarily inconvenienced but free. Threats of firing dont scare me, they excite me! Ive documented well and can afford lawyers.

@a9 Who cares. They aren’t from the US. You can’t even understand them mumbling. This bank needs to change its name if it prefers slop from other parts of the world.

There are all kinds of people from India who would gladly produce twice your output and take a quarter of your salary. Watch your back.
