Told that above mid and non-core = no merit.
No merit for above mid has been their Ace in the hole to use when needed
In Mgr Q&A HR reps deflected questions, not their doing.

@a8 we are twins!

I am only 3k above the midpoint.
Manager confirmed that the guidance was that anyone above midpoint got 0 merit in our department.

M/M Rating; Bonus +5% from 2024, 0% Merit Increase

Company is going back to the pre-Schart days where your total comp at the mid-point of your range will be the max and any raises from there will be offset by reduced bonus (outside of any inflation-based increases)

I’m also in Corporate Risk and didn’t receive a merit increase this year, but did receive a bonus. I’m in a non-hub location, and I’m wondering if the lack of raises for non-hub employees could be tied to broader headcount or budget decisions ahead of Q2. Has anyone heard whether there are plans to reduce or exit non-hub roles by the end of March as the new quarter and budget begin in April?

It exists for the same reason as all the other rules, to torment you enough that you quit and they don't have to pay you a severance.

I did not receive a merit increase due same BS talking points HR provided to parrot managers. But, I received a 60% bonus as a senior lead.

If you cant get a raise if you're above midpoint whats the point of the rest of the pay scale? Does it exist just to pay outside hires more than the rest of us?

Seems as if we've discovered another of Charlie's strategies for trying to force attrition

I heard that no merit raise but still getting a bonus meant you were going to get layed off. No idea if this is actually true or not.

The word in risk is that nobody got a raise if you're over mid point. Not sure about everyone else.

Same for me in corp risk.
Raise was 1% , but bonus 50%

2% allocated to the cost center,
For no raise could be driven by several factors
You’re a low meet or your at 75% or very high compare to your peer group

I heard no one with a salary above midpoint gets a raise.

Any idea what percentage of the base bonus is?
