Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Eisp will be the regular on the associates side in march

Sounds pretty sure thing there will be a regular eisp in march for union side.Pretty much after the frontier communication merger is over.Sound alike it will be across board to all groups but with limited head count. Not to say if an area has some more people in one location that want it yet not so many in another they can’t shuffle it around under that director .But no way if they ask for 2 they let a whole gang leave just not sensible !Good luck 2026

@5s6 how old are you? If you are 55, there's no 30 year jump. You jumped at 55.

@5s6 if youre 55 it doesn't jump at 30. You've jumped at 55. You'll just acru more pension money per month as you work until you leave.

@qw you dont get added age at 55. You are already full pension at 55 with 20 plus years. Nothing more to add to allow you to go. They can only more money.

@5s6 well how old are you? If your 55 it's the same as hitting 30. It only jumps up what the age reduction penalty would be if you didn't hit 55 yet. The only jump would be what your pension accumulates each month still working that you can look at every month .

@5s6 it will be around 505k, if you hit 30 years now give or take a few thousand.

I have 29 years . Knowing the GATT rate is high , how much does the lump sum jump in year 30 ? Is it significant ? My 30th year falls outside of the current contract so I am not allowed to calculate the lump sum in 2027.

@103 I think they mean that it lowers your payout further making it a nonstarter.

@qw how so? Adding years to you age is only really to help you get to 30YOS or magic 75 for healthcare .

@d4 what are you talking about ? 28 years and it was always ISP then it went to double EISP 2200/ YOS +25k …. In last 8-10 yr it became able eisp with 50k . (Union side) It has Not gone backwards and the double is appx 1 yr salary …. Assuming 20+ yos and 50k . I think they will put out a BIG package before contract …. They want rid of anyone 20+ years pension eligibile . We will see soon

I have been asking around about any potential eisp and nobody knows nothing, with the high gatt rate currently I would like to leave with a bonus so I will have to wait around to see if anything comes my way this year.

Adding to your age, past 55, hurts payout.

@mc I have over 30 years, you think I’m leaving for a regular eisp? 1100x30=33,000 + 10000 = 43000. LMMFAO! I can stay 4 or 5 months and make more than that, and the company pays my medical. It’s a no brainer

Eisp plus add years to age and service. This was my response to dans email about cutting cost and drive revenue. For revenue, I suggested lowering the price. That is how u “dazzle” customers.

Eisp is 2200 for every year up to 40 years plus 50 grand. Double isp is 2200 a year up to 30 years plus 10 grand. And isp is 1100 a year up to 30 years plus 10 grand

The offer has been the same for 15 to 20 years. 15 or 20 years ago it was a nice bit of change. It was about 2 years pay. Now it’s about 1 year pay (for the enhanced, about a third less for the regular). If they want people to go, they should raise it back up to 2 years pay, not reduce it. No thanks, I’ll stay another 2 years, make em pay my health insurance another 2 years

@OP Please know what you are talking about before stating. An ISP (Income Security Plan) is a standard offering to leave the company. A EISP (Enhanced Income Security Plan) offers additional incentive to leave. There is no such thick as a regular EISP.

What’s the difference between a regular and an enhanced???

@ag some people can’t leave with a regular EIPP. Has nothing to do with Verizon surviving without them. I’m thinking that’s mostly everyone.

Eisp? Why have we submitted to a culture at Verizon of using and gate keeping acronyms

@a7 Hilarious. Not leaving for a regular EISP, enjoy your time waiting around for an enhanced. Probably think VZ can’t go on without you also.
