Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

After two decades here, I'm just praying for a layoff

What does it say about a company when an employee with nearly twenty years of service is actively hoping to be laid off? That's the situation I find myself in now. I've given this place my all for almost two decades, and the best outcome I can imagine is to be let go with a severance package. That's a clear sign of how far things have fallen and how broken the environment has become.

I was in that same boat, but when I heard they were sc--wing people out of their severance, I decided to do a very deliberate and consistent job search and finally found something after about five or six months

Can’t trust management there to do the right thing….. so while you’re hoping for a layoff with severance, look for something better

Many feel same way. Its turned into the most vile environment and getting worse. This place needs a rude awakening. They could care less about the damage they are causing and more about what they can pocket. They’re sc--wing long time staff big time. Fake a-s ratings and not given truthful reasons behind them. I hope they get hit with more lawsuits than any company has ever seen

Yes.
This place is not only psychologically damaging, it is a large betrayal to veterans here who decided to stay and give their all.
We were told year after year, day after day, how BNY was the best place in the world to work. How we were valued. How we were needed…… and so, many of us believed and dedicated our life and professional career to BNY. And now? This new regime has decided to spray paint over the past and cast us out like broken used furniture for the salvation army to pick up. Worse? After years of doing the job, you get picked on and have made up negative reviews to make you out as some disappointing delinquent just to steal your severance. It takes awhile and you should get counseling, but, you will soon realize you are GREAT and did EVERYTHING WELL here. And its not you. It is the criminal, sycophantic, lying, manipulative management we now have and the reprobate board that drives it. BNY is going to fail. And when it does, be thankful you are out.
