Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

One more year

If they don’t cut me this year. I’m 100% leaving next year. I can’t be waiting for severance packages. This place feels like cancerous where I’m slowly dying….

That email about free surgery thru the new Lantern program got me thinking about hanging in a bit longer.

Would you really trust any Surgeon or Doctor the Lantern Program recommends?? Are u nuts or just an id--t?

"We need farm workers. Workers that are willing to work hard."

And surprisingly, farmers work from home, sun up to sun down. Not 8 & Skate in the office. Funny how that works.

Believe it or not. You can tell your boss I retire and leave that very same day. No 2 week notice needed. I called HR and they told me this. Don’t call us, tell your boss your intentions. BYE.

Same here. I’m a mobility tech, 16yrs. I’ve lost all respect for AT&T leadership. Time to pack my bags.

Nothing with T changes year after year if you notice.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
It doesn’t get any better.

OP -- When you announce to your boss that you are leaving, be flexible. Your group might be on the cusp of a layoff and you might be able to negotiate your way into severance by being flexible with your quit date.

Why wait...?

I left a year ago. Just like to check in and see the gossip because I left my 401k with AT&T.

Think I'll be rolling it over to my new company.

Pressures from all sides. T-Mobile is doing great and it seems there's at least four other ISPs in my City running fiber. A lot is in direct competition with AT&T's fiber footprint.

I have more confidence in my new role. And job security, for once!

Anyway, good luck to you guys still there.

I’ve been doing less than the bare minimum trying to get laid off with severance for over a year. I guess if they want to keep me on payroll I’ll continue to show up and socialize.
