I got back in the defense industry after working for VZW after 25 years. No contractors or H1B to worry about either…
I'm closing in on two offers. Gonna make like Hans and give a big "Texas goodbye"
I already have a job and do not need to look for a new one.
I’m flipping burgers now. I made an excellent salary at Verizon but had no skills.
@a1 - @"Took VSP...got a similar job 6 months after looking. 80% pay."
Sounds like you're losing ground. I've changed employees five times in my Corporate career and received a significant bump up in compensation and responsibilities each time. Taking a 20% cut to stay home in your jammies all day isn't worth it!
Nothing. Been giving blowies for cash to afford groceries. Got a guy coming by later tonight that’s going to pay 400 for the night. My kids aren’t going to starve at least.
20 months , looking for a job everyday, a few interviews ... NOT ONE SINGLE OFFER .....
I'm doing Uber till Waymo takes over my job. They are taking over my job here in Orlando by mid 2026. AI is a Job ki-ler with no real skills as was with Verizon
No offer yet, but I am interviewing and progressing through the rounds.
I work for Door Dash delivering food to my former colleagues in B.R.
I swear I don’t tamper with the food.
Took the VSP. I got a similar job 6 months after looking. 80% pay, 100% remote
