The big sm--k in the face is the laying off of folk that were just years from retirement. Those that had put their heart and soul into this company to make a career. But in the end all for what? A severance package and a good luck? They want to say this is a career, but there is no career if they lay you off after all your hard work. Verizon will continue to suffer stock wise due to these poor decisions.
Most of us that got laid off mis the high level of achievement but don’t miss the drama. There are plenty of construction vendors that would take you in a heartbeat.
Why are you feeling hopeless? You’re fine. Worked there for years? Same here. You have severence…chill out, focus, and get a new job. Haven’t been here long enough to have a large severence…this clearly isnt life changing for you. Youll be fine…better than fine if you su-k it up.
Life is much better after VZW. It WAS a phenomenal place to work. Look at places that you wouldn’t normally look. I got on with a truck rental company and it’s great.
Same here, these extremely high quotas are not helping.

It'll work out. Over the last several years, I know sales reps that moved to T-Mobile, Samsung, SimpliSafe, and Apple to name a few.
One sales AD (who was passed over a few times) quit and is a VP at American Tower.

Verizon isnt a good job because you always feel helpless and replaceable. Now everyone everywhere is replaceable but still there is a basic need to be valued. "We would love to keep you here because you mean alot and represent us well all while being a great person " zero humanity causes heartache.
