30-min call, might be a status update..the usual pep talk on “the business priority”, he’s sorry for the affected of RIF, blah blah..bottomline, his standing ground of his decision to reduce workforce…i doubt if he’ll wish everyone a happy holiday.

i was impacted too and will listen if i wake up at 7am pacific.

@ce all but the last part is believable. Yes, there will be smaller meetings but leaders are not armed with answers or a definitive plan so those meetings are useless or the leader makes up answers based on their own opinion.

Explain what comes next: “Starting today, we are accelerating investments into AI and advanced customer products, restructuring retail operations for agility, and integrating Frontier in 2026. You will see increased support for frontline innovation and retraining to elevate our capabilities.”

Reassure and set expectations: “These actions are decisive steps, not indefinite measures. We cannot promise there will never be more changes, but we are committed to transparency and dialogue as we move forward.”

Solicit feedback: “Your input is vital as we transform. We’ll hold leader Q&A forums and smaller group sessions over the next month to listen to your concerns and improve wherever we can.”

There is a board meeting this week in the New York office. Probably more "tough" decisions. They should rather spend time on the perpetually pending "innovation" in customer experience& value proposition.

Maybe to announce that we axed 2K+ employees in VZI as well. Or share additional plan for Dan’s 75th and 100 days in power. Or like someone said how AI is going to change rest of the survivors.

It’s. 30 mins call. If I think some positively, announcement of Shankar, Kalyani and his army early retirement. If that’s the news, we all celebrate and enjoy the weekend.

@OP: moving all Verizon employees with an H-1B visa status holders to being a contractor with one of the Indian consultation company, InfoSys and/or Cognizant, with the same salary for one year.

This will stop all the Asian-Indians taking 12-weeks of maternal or paternal leave.

I think it's just going to be a meeting about how all the world's against us, especially T-Mobile and AT&T, but, in response to overwhelming odds of Wall Street sanity, we're just going to escape it all and reach Nirvana via collectively taking a toast and drinking of the weirdly-colored Cosby Kool-Aid. yum yum
