@cy It's inefficient overhead that would discourage some from seeking a new position. Medical exceptions are either chronic (the issue will not change for the life of the employee) or temporary. We treat them all as temporary and harass employees, particularly on STD. And there'd be no reason for any of it if we respected those working for the company to do the right thing. All I've seen since RTO3 has been a feeling of betrayal, followed by anger with the RTO4 announcement and the layoffs this quarter (when the town hall said there'd be none).

If a medical exception is needed then there shouldn’t be any problem with having to redo it when you take a new position.
Maybe give it a rest and enjoy your holiday
Every job you apply to they check where you are and ask if you are going to move.
Apparently if you take a new role, you have to REDO your medical exception. Even if conditions have not changed…
