Fake job postings

What’s with job postings they put up real quick then take down a day later and say the job is canceled?

Trying to sneak an H1-B past everyone?

Interesting this true story got deleted- i had an internal job interview set up and the recruiter didn’t show. She called me back and apologized and said that the manager had the person she wanted picked out but I could interview if I wanted. I declined to go do the interview- lol. Interesting that this site deleted my post earlier. This is real - I have the names people.

@OP you would think a company that already had so many penalties against them over the years would be more cautious of this stuff.

This has been going on for a decade or two. Sometimes HR makes a manager open a req instead of just promoting a person.

True story- I applied for an internal job and had an interview set up. The recruiter didn’t understand time zones and wasn’t on the line when I joined. She called back later and said that we could reschedule but the manager already has her candidate. But we could reschedule if I wanted to do the interview. Hard to believe but I passes on that fantastic opportunity.

Those are for pre-selected individuals.

They open the req
Pre-selected individual applies
Thry close the req
