Every state has a minimum of 60 days as that is the federal rule.
As far as I know the only state that does NOT allow severance pay in lieu of notice is NJ.
So, either your location had < 50 people OR they gave you 30 days notice AND paid you a minimum of 30 days severance. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
Believe me, VZ lawyers know what they are doing.
Exactly sick of them getting away with this for years. Can’t find a single WARN notification in any state.
@OP We live in Virginia and were given 30 days and Virginia’s Warn Act requires 60. Can’t let that slip by.
