EmployeesVerizon has declared a Special Enhanced Income Security Plan (EISP) for the Potomac Region.
Eligible employees may receive:
A $40,000 supplemental bonus + $10,000 termination bonus
$2,200 per year of service (up to 40 years)
Waiver of age-based pension reductions and band acceleration
The volunteer period runs through November 25, 2025, with off-payroll date December 14, 2025.

If they offered $5,000 per year, you would complain it should be $8,000! That’s their offer, take it or don’t take it.
@a3 previous offers were paid as follows:
$10,000 + $40,000 paid on one payout.
&2,200 per year was monthly over 4 years OR half paid out on one check and then the remainder over 4 years.

You’d think they’d up the amount. What’s the amount after taxes? They should offer $5,000 per year of service.

This started back in October
On October 20, 2025, Verizon notified CWA they were declaring a
“Special EISP” offer in the Potomac Region. Packages were distributed
to eligible employees on October 21, 2025. The volunteer period be-
gan on October 27, 2025 and will conclude on November 25, 2025.
Volunteers whose applications for the Special EISP are accepted will
have an off payroll date of December 14, 2025.
Under the terms of this Special EISP offer, employees will receive a
“supplemental” voluntary termination bonus of $40,000, in addition to
the $10,000 voluntary termination bonus. Employees will also receive
$2200 for each year of service up to 40 years and a waiver of age
based pension reductions for early commencement. There will also be
an acceleration of the next pension band increase.
In CWA Local 2108, almost all of the surplus declarations affect job
titles located at the Chesapeake Complex with most of the surplus dec-
larations focused mainly on clerical positions of the targeted surplus
announcement. If you are unsure if your group was included in this

EISP to speak with a financial advisor prior to accepting this package to
maximize your retirement portfolio and avoid costly tax penalties
