I know it was talked about with HC reductions but am a little shook my fault for not exploring the job market coming up to 10 years at intel, does anyone know details about severence packages that recently been laid off in Oregon? Is it the same as before?

@bq a boulder of truth and authenticity in a sea of slick poseur sewage
@j3 Intel self selects for poseurs
@as Intel is a talent ki-ler
AI don’t believe senior PE stuck their heads into the toilet at Intel that long to figure out anything.
I don't believe OP isn't a fab technician.
The little kids at daycare got a hold of a computer.
@bg how long have you been keeping that in ? Both saying that and the package
Sr PE knows nothing. Does not surprise me
@OP when did you find out? I heard it's next year severence packages change should be the same, wish you the best
@OP Severance is the same, take it and run. I was laid off in July eng level quite senior with over 12 years+ with intel, it took me a month to land a role at a better company and am much happier here it's also a fully remote role + better comp.
Intels RTO is just a silent layoff so people leave on their own without having to pay severance, more than half my team have left on their own.
@OP news has been that this is a “continuation” of the July layoffs. Packages are the same as handed out July 2025. Perhaps leadership assumed less employees would RTO. Final HC still needs to be met. Around 10k heads still need to roll.
@ae OP is writing above a 3rd grade level. That’s better than most PhDs at Intel.
Not certain what happens between PhD and Intel where you go from thesis to 3rd grade level writing.
