I haven’t been here very long, but have had nothing but issues since I started here. The ageism, cronyism, favoritism, nepotism, s-xism is off the charts. Sprinkle in widespread ineffective management who do not give a sh-t about developing out your career if they view you as a challenge…yep, this is corporate he-l. Suggestion for survival is to completely disconnect your identity from what you do here, if you haven’t already. Good luck.

Yeah no discrimination definitely takes place here…… laugh out loud!
9 years. Only to have it end because of a hand full of rotten souls between management and hr. Sad.
Payments leadership and upper management is atrocious, all hinged to self preservation and self promotion, since most are extremely inexperienced and unfamiliar with the payments environments and the requirements for those business lines to grow, expand and be profitable. Longstanding relationships have abandoned the payments business lines given the juvenile and pointless things leadership has focused on and then when it is time to replace the lost relationships, the current leadership is absolutley clueless, given the same inexperience and complete unfamiliarity with the business lines they are charged with leading and the unchallenged ability of the payments competitors to pick and choose what relationships, what employees and what longstanding revenue streams they can pirate away from this bumbling assortment of self centered and self absorbed leadership.
It’s a mess. Which department do you work in?
The bank is no longer a destination employer. They are where people end up with no other options. Long term employees are beyond beaten down. All the older people are looking for a package and exit ramp. This was once a great place to work but no longer.
Lately I’ve been having dreams about my boss punching me so I can walk with a six figure settlement. I think he might.
@OP Sorry you got roped into working here. Actually the only way to survive is to leave, just being honest. Use it as a really uncomfortable stepping stone to finding a new job elsewhere. Then leave. The bad dreams eventually fade.
@mf Preach! The recruiters in my experience aren't worth the cr*p stain they evolved from anyway.
@mc No but they source the applicant pool and send them to hiring managers for interview and decisioning. If they throw garbage into the system and then complain that we are a garbage-infested org, they play a role in the creation of that reality. It's not difficult to grasp.
Recruiters don’t decide who gets hired, fyi.
@b9 So you're a recruiter here and hiring the people who are garbage? Seems like you play a role in the problems. Just go away.
@ct ROFLMFAO @ "Mavie-Fae Fertraub" Well done.
What are you on about hun?
Look no further than our former head of reputation risk as an example.
Recruiter here. This place is absolute garbage 🗑️. The managers are garbage, the compensation is garbage and the culture is garbage. I look forward to the day the job market improves.
A brutal corporate culture!
This company desires unhappy employees and will target their most talented and loyal employees to feed to the evil ego gods.
Management is void of any talent or skills. Technology is cutting edge 80s technology behind the pretty webpages. Leadership is absent at best. Middle management are useless and understand their jobs are to jam their heads as far as possible up their boss's.
