That’s how it’s always been - the notices go out the day of the layoffs.

@av
I received a personal call stating my position in clinic was eliminated. There will ALWAYS be a "my position". I am on FMLA...
Received an email at 3:45 CST from offshore leadership. Subject, "Catch Up". In OI.
@ah Wellmed
I work at a wellmed clinic. It came from one of the higher ups in our region. Im friends with people at other clinics in the city and they got emails too for a mandatory meeting early in the morning. But im also hearing that not everyone got an email…. So… we shall see
@af is your meeting invite just to you or a group of people?
@a6
This is exactly correct. Been there done that.
@af who did it come from and what does it say?
That su-ks to hear you all. If you don't mind, what subsidiary of Optum are you in? Okay to stay quiet if it would out your team.
Just got the meeting invite people! Here we go…
@ab probably tonight. I just got mine right now. My boss works in the east coast.
If my shift starts at 8 am, what time should I be expecting an email?
For RIFs in the past, the manager telling the employee they were RIFed was told to send a meeting invitation the morning of the RIF and not to do it too soon before they are ready to read the script to you. The meeting invitation is typically called business update or quick check-in--something vague and not on your calendar the day before. The manager reads a script from HR and won't answer your questions. It's a cold and brief call.
My team has received the invites either the night before or morning of in the past.
Generally the invite goes out day of. There are always going to be exceptions. For large layoffs it’s generally all done around the same time.
