I got my invite on Friday afternoon for a Monday business update meeting.
Invites on Sunday for business update on Monday.

I was let go on a Monday, first week of August.
@ec Choose a day of the week and that's when the next layoff is... Asking "when is the next layoff" at this point is d-mb, and beyond pointless. IT'S EVERY SINGLE DAY of the year.
@ec Yeah except "project M" isn't even in production yet and, isn't remotely close to it lol. It's all still in the testing phase and trust me on this... it's a CLUSTER F of a project. I can't wait until it's done and over with at this point.
I know there was a "leaked" BI article all about it and it said it'd be rolling out in February but, that is a load of horse fe--s LMFAO. Project M is nowhere near ready for production by any means. Realistically I'd say it'll be truly ready to roll out by next Octoberish, and even that is a big maybe.
So, I highly doubt ISG is getting laid off because of project M at this point.

While layoffs in themselves may come in batches, the will happen continuously. Different places have different rules and regulations and the process may differ A LOT.
There are places where law dictates weeks of negotiations, there are places where you can be let go the same day, there are places where unions are involved, there are places where they're not etc. etc.
End result: HR is busy all day, every day.

It's already started. 40% reduction in ISG headcount to be completed by Nov 10th.
It is useless asking these questions. Layoffs are happening on a regular basis. You'll know the layoffs are over when this website becomes dormant for anything Dell.
3 weeks ago there were several let go in Services.
Typically fridays but nowadays who knows what is driving the terms. Perhaps Oct 31st, perhaps Nov 7 & 14 and no it’s not the holidays yet LOL
There will be no layoffs until after the new year.
The next layoffs are always happening tomorrow.

But I agree with @a6 - why not both? It's not like they care that its the holidays, numbers dictate and they will do whatever to preserve their stock prices and try to get it higher, whatever the means...
