It is preposterous and unproductive to cast aspersions on an entire generation by labeling them as "entitled" based on the actions of a few errant individuals. Simply because a handful of individuals may have expressed a desire to work from home does not necessarily imply that they are indolent or incapable of exerting themselves. The preference for working from home is not a testament to a lack of industry, but rather a recognition of the changing face of employment in the modern world. Many individuals are able to perform their duties with equal proficiency from the comfort of their own homes as they would in a traditional office setting, and for some, the ability to work from home may even augment their productivity.
Furthermore, it is fallacious to compare the current generation to those who lived during the days of Rockefeller and Carnegie. The world has undergone drastic transformations since then, and it is not appropriate to apply the same standards to individuals living in disparate eras and circumstances. The challenges and conditions faced by people today are vastly different from those experienced by their forebears, and it is not reasonable to evaluate them using the same criteria.
