Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

MOST SCARY 8 HOUR WARNING

Corporate risk here. Got email from mangers , saying DF has directed managers must document their directs not meeting 8 hour requirement or 3 days (soon to be 4 days) in workday and have the employee sign it.

Now, wait for the shocker: any manager who fails to document it will be given “not meet” in performance rating.
Note : manager will be given “not meet”

Also, employee who has signed the first warning and continue to be non-compliant will be terminated.

I was one of those given the initial verbal warning few weeks ago.

I find it almost impossible to believe they'd reprimand someone averaging 7-8 hours in the office over whatever rolling timeframe they use.

So far, I've not heard any examples of this. Scolding performing employees who leave the office an hour or 30 minutes early on Friday would be such a monumental waste of time.

OP here.

I have seen the report. So take what I said as concrete.
It is specifically written as “hours in the office”.

I understand your point, because I normally start from home too.
Unfortunately, they don’t seem to care.

Most people I know doing 6 hours in office so far did not get any warning.
It seems the warning is directed at 4 hours or below for now.

In future, nobody knows if they will start warning 6 hours or below.

@ah Actually, it would be nice to know that for sure. And WTF they do if I log in from home for an early meeting, then go to the office for my RTO requirement, then only in the office 6 hours (even though I technically started my day before going to the office)?

I'm not going to refuse most early meetings b/c I need to be on them to do my job. But that the same time, I'm going to get penalized for potentially not meeting an 8 hour thing even though I have been working > 8 hours.

It's such bullsh*t.

Oh no. You have to come to your workplace and actually do 8 hrs of "work" three days a week. Time to lawyer up!

OP here:

First time and last time login to company network. So if you login at home afterwards, it has no effect. The key here is company network.

If you leave the building and come back into the building and login , you are fine, because your first time login was already logged.

In summary,
your badge is for RTO(3 days).
your network login is for the 8 hours.

“and last time login for a given day”- So we would be out of compliance for re-logging later that evening from outside the building . I am dinged for last week, but it will not happen again. Shaves 10+ hours off of my work week!

@a7 it’s 8 hours per day. Search “understanding in office expectations “ on teamworks. Very clear it’s 8 hours per day.

@a8 Managers, for the most part, have been managing their own careers by kissing up and blindly following these orders. Some don’t even know what their employees do and are trusting a report created in India. Need I say more on how much trust I would put into that?

@a1 Communicate directly with us filthy peons? The nerve of you to even SUGGEST it. Derek the Great does not acknowledge the hoi polloi.

DF knows his fat, double-chin, raggedy a-s would get jumped in person if he tried communicating that message in person. This is why Wells Fargo only hires low testosterone men, single moms and girl bosses to work here because they don’t revolt.

Su-ks for managers trying to appease both sides.

Question is the requirement 8 hours a day or 8 hours total between the three days?

I’ve been always told to maintain 6hrs minimum on the WiFi in the office.

if only DF had the guts to just send a risk wide communication outlining his expectations
