75K end of 2025. 55-60k 2026. Simple math for right profitability. Maybe even 50k if sales are good.

@nq job postings don't mean they are trying to fill all of them. Do some searches on phantom job postings. It is the new norm for companies to always have job postings listed with no intention of filling them. It helps give the illusion of a company that is doing well. They even remove old posts and put up new ones to keep the reqs current. Ask people who are currently looking for a job if they have run into this you will be surprised by the answers.

@13b If it is any consolation, all the Finance sheeple who did the calculation were laid off, along with their managers.

You know, to get to the 75k target.

The nerdery has been converted to FOUP storage.

TSMC headcount was 83,825 EOY 2024
https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/TSM/taiwan-semiconductor-manufacturing/number-of-employees

NVIDIA headcount was 36,000 BOY 2025 https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/NVDA/nvidia/number-of-employees

Not sure how it was initially presented that both companies (TSMC and NVIDIA), one strictly doing manufacturing, and the other strictly design had a total combined headcount of 75,000, of which Intel (a design and manufacturing company / IPS and IFS ) is trying to benchmark its total headcount to. Hose bee lion!

Layoffs don’t matter still over 300 US jobs currently posted at Intel.
Same old Intel Layoff and still hiring give it 12 months and the Intel employee numbers will be back up again

Intel has no roadmap internally, all roadmap for the year is layoff, re-org and end-of-life existing applications because the engineers built them have left.

No employees, no product

No money, no Intel

Leadership failed and fired critical engineers and techs while keeping their own jobs

EKTs cant get the basics of a lemonaide stand and selling needed quality product to a satisfied customer
WinTel and MS Win11 su-ks wind
2026 No sales

2028 No sales and when the billions get dried up in construction overruns and ELTs salaries

LBT - the most humble guy who loves the smell of his own farts...

As for employees, only about 7K left to go. Still, not sure it will be hit.
