Long term employee here. From the sales perspective, way too many report jockeys that do nothing but have forecast calls about deals they know little about.

The layers of Mgmt and so called
support in the consumer division and retail is mind boggling on how many "do nothing " jobs exist. How many people do you need to look at performance numbers for made up kpis.
Everyone who has worked VZ for a while knows layoffs are part of the business. Why is anyone surprised when they happen. If you get laid off, new door will open.
