Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Just got laid off today!!!

wow, after a long and fruitful career at Wells Fargo, just got told, "thanks but not thanks!"
Can you believe it? In an major market but guess what, I don't think they liked me much. Perhaps I had a strange accent on calls. Perhaps I was too professional with my background and achievements! Perhaps I was disabled! Who knows! At the end of the day, I was told, "you are no longer needed". But I have to say, they are hiring new personnel at much higher rates than me! So how does that work? I say this, you'd better kowtow and bend the knee for those above you. They know all. Even if their certifications are old and yours are better! Wells Fargo seemingly wants to do whatever they want to do. Employment laws? LOLOLOLOL

I left (willingly) almost 5 months ago and still have ptsd from this fu--ing company. However, there is hope on the other side.

@OP Congratulations got what you and many others on this forum wanted. You got your package, freedom, release from toxicity and now are completely free to find your next gig. You can make your silly demands of WFH to your new employer. I am sure you will find something right away and paying even more than what you were making and the leaders will embrace you in a big hug. You will never have to deal with others unlike yourself so you can mingle amongst your racist self . OP you hit the life lottery !!! Congratulations!

It’s not personal, generally, it’s business. If this is done correctly we can prune the tree thoughtfully, keeping the people with the correct skills and capabilities. But we wont do it. We will play the attrition game to save some near term money.

It's a major market not an major market.
When the first letter of the next word is a consonant, the word is a, when the following word starts with a vowel, it's an. Tell that to your buddies overseas, so you don't rely so much on co-pilot to do your jobs for you.

@a1 I think maybe you got dropped on your head too much as a baby. Get seen by a neurologist. Thoughts and prayers.

It is the white-washing of corporate America. Especially white men.

No longer will I scan the Teamworks home page to spot the odd white man (CS dont count). A couple weeks ago there was a nice pic with granny (Beverly Hillbil--es?) and a couple others fascimated by a screen. Teamworks looks more and more like the MSNBC homepage.

I remember the old covid days, when they kept changing my wallpaper to images containing black lesbians. Now I am certainly one to appreciate that black lesbians are the corner-stone of our great nation, and I view them with great pleasure, but sometimes I prefer an image taken from a cell of prison bars. ;)
