Has anyone else noticed a trend that if a craft files a time claim and win, that one of the members of that craft gets fired?

Time claims are a joke. If you are one who puts them in, you are ignorant. You think the union is gonna save your job??? Look whats going on around you. Wake up. Its better to help eachother out than to time slip. Also, if you give someone the ok to do your job and then time slip them, youre in for a rude awkening.
@1jv
Brother, we know how to combat the problem. It will take all of us collectively to defeat the dirty tactics of the ones that want to harm us.
Well @1hw+1, when the time comes and you become part of UP,,,, it should be a smooth transition for ya
I work for NS. When someone reports an injury, management immediately sends out teams to fire as many people as possible at that location “for safety,” even if it was something as minor as a bee sting.
What are time claims? The mechanical side has “all other duties assigned” which they think covers everything.. Transportation employees are so coddled
Class 1's will become scab out fits with
DJT help.
The unions have all but given the railroads up. They’re still collecting dues to fill their pockets but they’re not fighting anything anymore for anyone. Every contract is “we can’t do any better.” Forced overtime while they lay off more craft workers? Nope, they’re powerless on that too! Ridiculous absenteeism policies and severe critical rules policies? That’s too big for the poor unions to
tackle! we need unions to deal
with the problems but they’re quickly becoming irrelevant.
700 dollars or more a month and it takes months to get those paid.
Years ago they just send everyone out checks for 20.000 or 25.000 .
It happens at my location. Unions don’t even fight it anymore. Contractors come in, do what they want, and nobody says anything.
Time claims paid? What this you speak of? Our location hasn't had one paid in 6 months.
We are being told that all claims go through Omaha and have sixty days to respond. On day 59, claims denied, back to the rep who has sixty days to resubmit for arbitration. Once received, company has sixty more days to respond.
These are all claims that have been paid no questions asked in past and is clearly stated in contract.
Guess they hoping that we forgot or local chairman gives up on the claim.
