Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

RTO will make me quit in the end

Almost two hours wasted on the commute. On a good day. Feels like that was the plan from the start, to force people out without paying a dime. People mention real estate/tax incentives as the main driver of RTO, but I think it’s mostly about cutting headcount on the cheap. Everything else comes second. Time will tell.

No. Fantastic insight but no.

What are you prepared to do about it? Bootlick harder? Is that even possible for you?

People that work from home are stealing from their companies 100 percent of the time. RTO is the only way to end the theft.

Like everything here, RTO is an overreaction to how “leadership” handled corona, promoting a bunch of people because they asked, and now having the wrong people in the wrong areas who know nothing about where we are headed. So RTO will now shake out the losers. The good news is it will rolled out like all other policy and die on the vine after the frontier reorg rif

@ad

If you support a RTO mandate, where it is unnecessary to complete the work, and actively post critical comments to those who disagree, you are a classic bootlicker.

We are paying the price (in time and money) to prop up commercial real estate, maintain corporate tax breaks, and feed into "leaders" desire to exert control. All the costs are on us and all the benefits go elsewhere.

Bootlicker bootlicker bootlicker.

Better to be a whiner than a bootlicker. Maybe the shoe polish intake has warped your little brain.

@OP I understand. I’m taking days off during the week that are in office days. Have tons of time going to use it up. It’s nuts…but we are a green company. 😂😂😂

All these “ask to be promoted” folks who live nowhere near the actual work are complaining about returning to office. That is why 5g is weak, food is 20ys behind, & frontier is the “answer”.
You are correct the plan is to break you so you leave
