@ey check your termination letter last few pages.
@d4 can you post the exhibit A showing layoffs by department with age?
P2P purchasing team hit
@es Companies are required to present this information. My spouse had this few years back and they had similar table showing the position and age so as to show they are not discriminating between age. But you may be right that they could let go some younger under performing people.
This is the same approach used in the June 2025 layoffs. This is to "prove" that TI is not discriminating by age ... even though that's exactly what they are doing. Along with older employees who make good money, they're laying off a few younger under-performers ... to make it "appear" that they are not discriminating by age.
Think of it this way. Why would TI need to put together such a table (showing the age of laid off employees) unless the intent was to convince the masses that the company is not targeting older employees who make good money?
Have there been layoffs in the India and Freising sites? What about field teams?
To the people who don't think it is tariff related...
can yall tell me how to pronounce "acetaminophen"? I need it to correlate a very important study I call "intellectuals that I somehow may have worked with that don't understand science or logic but will believe a cheeto colored id--t"
@dy From what I’ve seen from volunteering and school events, ed tech has some of the best people. Very sad indeed
Anyone from old and new Sherman
DFAB D-shift had 25 laidoff from MFG and Techs across all modules. C-shift 15.
Most of t their end date is in December and rest in April. Still counting more LDOs .. A,B shift will be hit next week.
Any word on if early retirement incentive was being offered?
I work in the legal department. At least one attorney was laid off today along with a lot of paralegals and support staff.
Any accounting or legal news?
Nearly half of Ed Tech got let go. Sad day.
1 in TES and I think 4 in LDO got let go in Tucson. And optical got an ultimatum to move to Tucson, probably related to the layoffs
@ds tomorrow they will cut from a shift also?
@dt MFG.
@ds PE, EE, or MFG?
DMOS6 photo module has been hit. 5 people across A/B/D shift have been laid off. All shifts have been severely understaffed, more cuts will gut the entire module for each shift. Rumored to have more cuts tomorrow.
@dq do you have a timeline for the DMOS5 layoffs?? Orgs?
DMOS5 had a bunch of layoffs (Atleast 5 MFG, 1 PE Tech)
Apparently this is only the first round and there will be more layoffs at DM5. They've also removed people in classes that were training in classes about to be moved to RFAB.
Tech writers were also heavily impacted
Entire VRS backend team (TE/VE/PE) was laid off in Santa Clara. All backend VRS roles confirmed to be taken over by VRS backend team in India. Also rumors of SVCLAB scaling down and shipping ETS364 tester + Talos handlers to India. Some teams got the option to relocate to Tucson or find a job elsewhere.
@d9 Bingo
@d7 you have to be so dense to not realize tariffs are part of the equation, may be the same denseness why you aren’t here anymore 🤷♂️
@d5 Now total of 3 from LDOs in Tucson
Sales hit decently hard based on last year performance; mid year performance doesn’t matter. Site dependent but 2-6 people per site.
@d7 The tariff comment is a joke right?
Last week increased the dividend and this week layoff?
@d7 Tariff revenue that goes to the US government is paid by the party on the US side. Not the other (world) side. Have your opinions, but that’s a fact.
Back to the discussion about the layoffs.
I was let go today, but i can say that tarrifs have nothing to do with it. I wud rather see my leader's agenda through and make us great, than cling to my job for short term gains. We will be great again and the world will pay our salaries through tarriffs.
Entire CTS Federal Way office. 25-30 people, mostly design & apps.
@d3 which site for LDOs?
@d0 In the termination agreement they have an exhibit A at the end where the first two pages show the termination by department and age
@cm 2 from LDOs
DLP offshored SW apps to TI India, too
@cz do you know which team?
Can anyone verify the following layoffs:
15% Accounting
25% Finance
30% IT
Anyone know how many in the other orgs?
@cd at least 5 ppl at DM6
@ce 5 ppl at least
