@es Companies are required to present this information. My spouse had this few years back and they had similar table showing the position and age so as to show they are not discriminating between age. But you may be right that they could let go some younger under performing people.

This is the same approach used in the June 2025 layoffs. This is to "prove" that TI is not discriminating by age ... even though that's exactly what they are doing. Along with older employees who make good money, they're laying off a few younger under-performers ... to make it "appear" that they are not discriminating by age.

Think of it this way. Why would TI need to put together such a table (showing the age of laid off employees) unless the intent was to convince the masses that the company is not targeting older employees who make good money?

DMOS6 photo module has been hit. 5 people across A/B/D shift have been laid off. All shifts have been severely understaffed, more cuts will gut the entire module for each shift. Rumored to have more cuts tomorrow.

@dq do you have a timeline for the DMOS5 layoffs?? Orgs?

Post ID: @dr+1k60db8pq

DMOS5 had a bunch of layoffs (Atleast 5 MFG, 1 PE Tech)

Apparently this is only the first round and there will be more layoffs at DM5. They've also removed people in classes that were training in classes about to be moved to RFAB.

Entire VRS backend team (TE/VE/PE) was laid off in Santa Clara. All backend VRS roles confirmed to be taken over by VRS backend team in India. Also rumors of SVCLAB scaling down and shipping ETS364 tester + Talos handlers to India. Some teams got the option to relocate to Tucson or find a job elsewhere.

@d7 you have to be so dense to not realize tariffs are part of the equation, may be the same denseness why you aren’t here anymore 🤷‍♂️

Sales hit decently hard based on last year performance; mid year performance doesn’t matter. Site dependent but 2-6 people per site.

@d7 Tariff revenue that goes to the US government is paid by the party on the US side. Not the other (world) side. Have your opinions, but that’s a fact.

Back to the discussion about the layoffs.

I was let go today, but i can say that tarrifs have nothing to do with it. I wud rather see my leader's agenda through and make us great, than cling to my job for short term gains. We will be great again and the world will pay our salaries through tarriffs.
