I'm curious why folks were laid off this time? Is it tenure (expensive), performance (low ratings), or simply political (did not kiss a-s)?

Everyone I know who was let go was long tenure and coasting / not pushing the envelope / barely present. I know of 7, 6 were this way. The 7th was great, just wrong soot, wrong time.
This time feels like a popularity contest
Can only speak to titles...mostly Directors, Senior Directors and GM's. I presume those folks are "expensive" but also if you're going to do a "good" reorg, management is going to take it harder than IC's. Not to see IC's haven't been hit as well, just not quite as hard.
