Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Go read the post on State Farm layoffs, it will make you feel better.

State Farm here! Come over and read our posts about what this sh-t hole is doing to its people! Your CEO has set the pace/tone for all the other CEOs to fall in line! They attend the same meetings, talk to the same consultants and run in the same circles. I've been at SF 30 years and need a couple more to retire. If you happen to have SF insurance cancel that cr-p, it's too expensive, service su-ks and all you are doing is giving 10-15% of your premium to a SF Agent. I'm about to move all of my internet and cell away from AT&T after your CEO sent that letter to employees basically telling them we owe you absolutely nothing and we expect absolute conformance and loyalty to AT&T! Same sh-t hole people no matter where you work in corporate America.

@jk Las Vegas Casinos paid out $135 billion last year. They must be better at being bookies than you guys. They also kick out anyone who wins too much, just like you pulling out of Florida.

Your company is no better than any other company in that regards. SF paid out over $60 billion dollars in claims last year. At the end of the day your Execs are making huge sums of money and charging inflated prices to line their pockets at peoples expense....just like SF and every other corrupt corporation. While preaching to their employees about privilege and chastising them if they expect a decent wage or life. I could give a sh-t less about the product honestly. It's like going into Walmart and checking out and the key pad asking me to donate or round up to feed the hungry. Walmart makes $165 billion a quarter and 70% of its employee are on government assistance..... F-ck AT&T and SF!

Pal, this is AT&T. We are run by evil people, but our business model is providing products and services customers want and need. Selling them promises you don’t intend to keep is your business and you are not going to find anything but corruption there. Move along.

I worked there for about 6 months in a department called Express claims. I quit to come here and I hate AT&T but State Farm is worse. They had something called Voice and View and Peakon Surveys. It was just another way to expose people and make managers create action plans like our managers are having to do other improve engagement scores. Yes you are right same sh-t just different place.

"“Leadership” of insurance companies are renown for being avaricious, unscrupulous, Machiavellians. Kind of sounds familiar, eh?"

Thus the need for more Luigis.

CEOs love to talk about all the "new" things they are doing. In reality they're mostly all braindead mo--ns waiting for some other braindead mo--n to do something that looks like "leadership", so they can copy that.

I'm never leaving State Farm. They are like a good neighbor.

Not surprised. Yes it’s the same circlej--ks at the top. They are on each others board of directors. Of course they aren’t going to vote you out and give you that pay raise. They want you to take care of them too. It’s all a huge conflict of interest. I’ll hire your kid, you hire mine, I’ll vote to give you that huge pay package, you vote for mine, I won’t vote to fire you, you owe me one, and on and on.
