Sorry I’ve been hiding inside a bubble, but d-mb question…….Could someone please tell me exactly why they are doing these layoffs? Seems to be so out of the blue especially when they get rid of the ones that are very knowledgeable and valuable to this company

- Take a look at earnings over the last few years.
- Listen in on some of the ERB calls and behold the way leadership rips into sales for lack of deals to pursue.
I'll let you connect the dots from there.

They are manipulating the numbers. They are harming the long term viability of the company for short term metrics gains.
Executive bonuses are determined by short term metrics.
They lay off Americans and then get cheaper workers from overseas. They lie and say they are more skilled.
Wow. Have you been in a bubble since 1997 when the original FD started doing big annual layoffs?

Layoffs reduce spend and make line go up. It'll all come crashing down sooner or later but shareholders don't care.
All hail the line...
Getting rid of the smart people so the d-mb ones look smarter. Too much of a contrast to keep them around.
