Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

The bench is death, when you are at a certain level all of those bench people email you their 1 pager because they have to find your own role.

Accenture has 3/4 of a million people, they fill roles all day long, it is how they make 4. Don't ya reckon if they had spots they would tell us? There aren't any and especially for high paid people like most of those that came from l3. They didn't hire people, they bought a contract that they no longer have and now have 475 people that service a non existing contract.

Unbelievable that this happened in this market, 400 people is way to many to put on the bench. Massive layoffs incoming from Accenture.

I wouldn't want to, but if it means going on the bench with Accenture then I would and keep looking for something better.
I would like to say thay they'd be really stupid to let all the knowledge out the door, but then again look at the recent decisions made.

Why should this surprise anyone? Classic. So L3 Harris outsources IT to Accenture and casts off 400 plus employees. Then after spending a year wooing and romancing them, they dump Accenture like a jilted girlfriend. Which of course means Accenture has 400 plus employees it no longer needs and will have to lay them off. Saving the trouble for L3 Harris from laying them off which is what they wanted in the first place. To lay them off without actually being the one that lays them off. And as far as the lawsuit, well, many months possibly years will pass, long after the displaced workers' unemployment benefits have run out and have moved on to other jobs, long after this is no longer a headline, L3 Harris and Accenture will very quietly make a back room deal for a fraction of the lawsuit. It's not like they don't have the money to pay this off and make it go away. And if they need an infusion of cash, RTF. They have got the money to pay the ransomware data breach too. And, L3 Harris already has the money tucked away that it will need to bribe the right people to give them a big slice of the iron dome contract. L3 Harris is untouchable.

Out of curiosity—if L3Harris offered to bring you all back, would you accept their offer? Personally, I wouldn't.

@e9 so you’re saying it’s not Kim’s misguided brainchild but the Kube’s? And she just came in to implement it?

Well, how’s it going for them? The IT Reinvention failed, they’ve sent IT away from being in-house and ki-led morale in the process, and now they’re going to finally kick out all the people who’ve been running everything. Sure, go ahead and save money to show investors that you’re profitable, but quality is going to suffer when there’s no one to keep the lights on. Good luck with that. Or rather, good riddance. I’ll going somewhere I’m actually valued.

@d9 yeah I don’t get it. So many are trusting both sides. They’re being nice to L3H and Accenture. Sorry but after 20+ years at L3H and then 1.5 years at Accenture and now this. I have zero confidence that we’ll be kept on board at Accenture. But yes until Dec. 15th “business as usual”, no thanks.

@dy Not DEI, the previous CIO refused to move to Accenture, she was the only one who would do what the ceo and cfo wanted.

@ca Kim Mackenroth has been the absolute worst CIO in the history of L3/Harris. This is what happens when you are a lazy CEO and you hire the runner-up DEI candidate. Well I guess it’s time to move on to bigger and better things.

@d8 so if they boot her they will pay her out. They should give her nothing with how bad her leadership if you want to call it that is. Meanwhile the rest of us will get sc--wed. This entire situation is a a mess that she is responsible for.

t minus 6 months, start looking and ffs quit being nice to these people. I was in meetings yesterday and my motivation level is -0 but the rest of the people act like they still have a chance to impress someone, it is over folks, move on and leave this toxicity behind

@af

There’s nothing I’d enjoy more than seeing Kim get the boot after what she did to us in IT. I know it’s all business, but not offering us a severance package was completely unforgivable.

Wow so now those that got booted to Accenture are getting sc--wed twice. Lost severance at L3Harris and now most likely won’t be kept at Accenture after Dec. 15th. Time to start job hunting in one of the worst job markets in my lifetime.

"Consulting firm Accenture filed an $81 million breach-of-contract lawsuit against L3Harris Technologies on Aug. 10 in Florida Circuit Court for Orange County. The partially redacted complaint, filed by Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan and Nardella & Nardella, seeks at least $81 million in damages and involves the sale of services by Accenture to L3Harrris. The case is 2025-CA-007653-O, Accenture LLP v. L3harris Technologies Inc."
But don't worry. The L3harris stock prices have gone way up since the last RIF. They knew this was gonna happen. They've got this covered. If they need some more cash, just another RIF will pay for it. No big deal.

@af I would say the CIO has been disastrous for the long-term health of L3Harris, but that statement is true of the entire executive leadership.

And to those wondering, the Accenture breach of contract lawsuit is definitely real:

81 million dollar lawsuit. Don’t know how the CIO who put this deal together keeps her job.

@a7 Yes. It doesn’t help L3Harris, but it does save money from moving to Accenture in the first place.

@OP Is Accenture going to be replaced by Infosys? If so, how does it help L3Harris workforce?
