Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Do you see any attrition, any at all, in IT?

Nobody is leaving, right?

Tech jobs are in high demand right now, if you're in IT and haven't left yet, assuming you can, you're leaving money on the table.

We're experiencing 2 to 1 ratios of people leaving versus joining, and in a group of 600+ people, we have over 100+ positions we're trying to hire and fill for. What do you think?

We just got a manager back because he thinks his current team is gone soon.

Only people still here are people like me who are just putting in their last few months until retirement.

All of the really good people left a year ago.

No attrition in tech. No one wants engineers on their payroll.

@1pgq+1hyELlfg My guess is you’ll see more attrition. I’m in core IT and top exec said TC’s move to N Herman will result in layoffs since they got “too big because of TCP processes”. As soon as that gets to the good ones left, they’ll be gone next.

This was said in a town hall and the TC guy who’s at my site was on and told me that people are already talking about it.

I saw a bit last year on our team of about 90 people. Haven’t really seen much voluntary resignations in the last 6 months or so.

Our team has roughly a person a week quitting. Rightfully so, its become nearly impossible to do the job correctly.

18 people in our team the last 2 years including 2 managers in our team. Both were asked to leave. Plus - Reporting teams, database teams, support teams and entire application teams (we have taken over some of those applications). All you have to do is click on larger meeting invites and look at the zz every couple of weeks.
