Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I am getting ready to Resign (giving a two week notice tomorrow, Fri 6/24)

Here is why I am quitting:

  • The sense of purpose is lost, why are we here and what are we trying to accomplish as an org - what, as individual, I can do to contribute? I have no clue why I am here so I am leaving.
  • We moved away from remote working (we are shifting employees to three location hubs - we are, because of this, losing good people not in those locations and/or people interested in moving to states outside of those hubs)
  • The amount of red tape is getting bigger. And bigger. You are just a number.
  • The amount of change the org is undergoing is crazy big - there is no serious effort to manage change - the decisions are made and 'show it up their throats' managment technique is applied daily
  • The quality of managment, in every sense, is deteriorating. Things are managed poorly - from people to projects, it's just poor
  • Exec leadership rotates often, there is a lot of change there, there is no real ownwerhip

This isn't an airport, you don't need to announce your departure.

They don't care. Your seat, position, laptop, salary, and benefits will be given to someone else within a blink of an eye. Your name will never be mentioned again. Good luck in your new endeavors!

Thanks for your service(s), OP. Thank you for giving this board your notice . We wish we could have promoted you . So you will be missed on site on this board . Very kind of you to give us the minimum notice . It is because of people like you that we as a bank have lasted for so long . See you soon!

No point in doing an exit interview, more than likely HR wont even show up and managers do not read or act on them.

Wow you're so strong, a true David vs Goliath. To post this on an anonymous jobboard takes courage, and to care what we fking think, so very wise. "The sense of purpose is lost", Good luck using that line when your mortgage payment comes due, only people who say d-mb stuff like that are children doing finger painting and billionaires like Steve Jobs who can afford it.

They could care less if you leave. You may want to hang in there for layoffs.
