I'm hearing from several parents that childcare is scarce. I can attest to it, too! There are waitlists all over the place. Childcare facilities are NOT back to the capacity numbers before Covid AND they are short-staffed. Did WF take into account the childcare factor? No.
The 3-day minimum is not feasible when the childcare options are slim. Even in-home nannies are not reliable due to many of them have not returned to work for families.
Is this WF way of meeting its reduction goal by forcing parents (particularly mothers) out of the workforce?
