Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Solution regarding RTO for the Executive Committee. Pass it on!

Management supports and embraces vaccinated employees continuing to WFH for the unforeseen future, if they wish, all the while encouraging more employees to get vaccinated. Have unvaccinated employees RTO.

That will allow more room in the office for the unvaccinated to socially distance if they want to. If COVID circulates in the office, than eventually the unvaccinated will have immunity. (I don’t want any of my unvaccinated friends to get sick, but at least you have the freedom to choose. ) If COVID doesn’t circulate, then all should be good and we can eventually bring back the vaccinated.

It’s a win-win for everyone.

I know if I go back I'm not spending a cent downtown in my city. No restaurants, no bars, no crowded lines or sidewalks. I'm going to work and then coming home.

Even in my suburban city, I do not go to churches, concerts, grocery stores at peak times, clothing stores, or stores that sell other goods. I wont either, for a very long time. My kids will not be in sports that aren't focusing on the safety of those involved by encouraging mask use, or allowing crowded gyms. Going back to the office isn't going to make the economy suddenly rebound. If anything some will hobble along (brick and mortar stores are so last century anyway) and the rest will continue their downward slide into closing. Oh well...sorry, not sorry.

True but the meaningful goal should be to get everyone vaccinated. If the ability to WFH longer motivates employees to get vaccinated - I’m for it. Let this be the policy until Spring 2022. Then at that time, if employees are still not vaccinated, they need to go.

Sorry, but nothing in your commentary make you sound like a professional.

Id be cool with that. Have all the triplemasking basement golems staying at home immersed in purell to maintain that "quality of life" would allow me to work with professionals in silence. Sans watercooler of course

This year they increased healthcare for those that make over $100k. How about we get a discount for getting vaxed. Or maybe increase costs for the in vaxed. While we're at it, increase the costs for the smokers and obese and decrease the coats for the healthy.

Op - You forget one key thing, the CEO is he-l driven on pushing people back to the office in an effort to force attrition to help meet his all mighty headcount goal. So a logical idea such as this would never happen in a backwards thinking company like WF.

Then what happens when everyone is vaccinated and nobody comes in? The goal is to get people ba k into the office, not an incentive to stay home

OP here: No worries - I’m honestly not phased by people who resort to name calling.

My goal is to find a fair solution that works for most everyone. I have people in my life who are not vaccinated, but we are considerate of each other and know we each have to make some concessions due to our choices. That is life. Some people will never be happy, but most people are decent and willing to compromise for the common good.

I do not want to be mandated to take the vaccine. Also do not want to RTO lol, however this would work for me.
