We live in a capitalist system that is making the rich richer and making life harder and more precarious for the vast majority.
In our parents generation, the celebration of the American style of capitalism was
"IT CREATED A GREAT MIDDLE CLASS. THAT MOST AMERICANS WERE IN THE MIDDLE."
There were a few richy.
There were a fewer desparado poor.
But most people in America were in the middle.
That's now over.
The vast majority of Americans know that is now gone.
The social contract with America - between the capitalist class and the working class - has been broken.

Today its all about being on top, stonk awards, and financialization of the stonk market.
If you are not in the executive suite or higher, your a$$ is on the chopping block to maximize stonk price so greedy sociopaths like Chukkie can get his whopping stock bonus.
Its the inequality, the fear of losing a job that barely affords you a lifestyle to keep your head above water, while the rich party like money is going out of style.
All the textile mills that were closed and sent abroad. All the factories that were closed and sent abroad. Now? Now its white collar jobs that are going...look around you whats happening at this bank... People are angry because the economic system is rigged to benefit the rich at the expense of everyone else.
The more this inequality gets stuck in our noses - like these insane pay packages of Jamie Dimon and Charlie Scharf or the space race between billionaires, while we working stiffs fear for our economic future by way of job loss - this more this happens, the more severely and strongly the pendulum will swing the other way against these greedy pr!cks.
Its amazing to me how long Americans will tolerate this extremely inequitable system.
Wanna know why Look at what has happened to the American worker over the past 40 years.
Thats how.
And if you wanna know what happened the last time extremes got this bad, just go back & read some history about what happened just before the great depression, and then go look what happened after during the "great new deal".
Unlike the roaring 30s though, this time? The extreme inequalities in America have gotten far FAR worse.
Charlie changed our moniker from "Team members" to "employees". This was no mistake. Its a direct affront to what little comradery we had at this place.
That was done because we are now demanded to be "obedient workers"; its all about the bottom line, and Chainsaws stonk awards.
We are no longer "stakeholders" in the future of the company.
We have no say at all.
We are all replaceable due to "technological advances" (india + VDI's)

What has happened to the industrial sector over the past 40 years has now landed on Wall Street. It was only delayed here due to epic management fuukups.
But we will be the ones who make the ultimate sacrifice for those fuukups.
And good luck getting your next job - whats left includes you repeating phrases like "would you like fries with that...?" or "...screws are in isle 7...."

Karl Marx predicted capitalism would destroy itself. Economic crisis would become more and more extreme until the problems became so great that it would lead to a global economic depression.
And here we are.
