Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Starting Sep 7th - Return to Work!

Just read the email from COO. We will be in office Three days a week and two days remote.

If you read the FAQ (must read), indirectly they are enforcing everyone to be in office . Also taking vaccination surgery is required and failure to do so will result in impact to performance evaluation.

I’d be far more interested in knowing who is taking he---s medication at my office than who has been vaccinated. I don’t wanna catch the gift that keeps on giving.

There is no anonymity in any of these surveys. Believe me. I’ve been involved in enough in my career here. They capture your email address and they know your IP address. And most also have an algorithm that identifies you as well.
The myth of anonymity is just another lie from our leaders and HR Dept.

Have you seen the CDC vaccination card? Pretty sure you could just make one up yourself. There’s no actual database anywhere tracking or checking this. Heck - if companies try to track it, people will sign up for 3rd, 4th, 5th vaccines and give away their cards. This whole process is d-mb. Clearly run by the government

I don't think the separate areas idea would be practicable at all. Like how would the toilets on the vaccinated floor get cleaned if the libertarians aren't allowed there?

Newsflash. That survey was just a precursor to the actual vaccination logging tool that is coming. You will have to provide proof if you say you’re vaxxed, the same way our peers have been doing this for months.

If you can’t/won’t provide that proof, you work in the same area as others with your same status. There will be no office fist fights, because the rabid folks on both sides of the equation won’t see each other.

It will cause attrition, and also cause more people to get vaxxed, both of which WF wants.

“@wuo+1bRGFZ5n Why would you lie on a survey, about your vaccination status? Are you embarrassed or ashamed? Nobody is bullying you to get a vaccine…..”

I’m not embarrassed or ashamed, quite the opposite…. I don’t need a target on my back and have ZERO trust in WF that the survey is truly “anonymous”. Just easier to give them the answer they want and move on.

The bullying is referring the constant drone from the governments so-called “experts” who have been 100% inconsistent in every aspect of this since day1. Every single day…
Then I get a letter in the mail yesterday from the VA asking me to “serve my country again” by vaccinating…. More droning.

When I sense this type of desperation, in ANY interaction or situation, I’m suspicious of the overall intentions and I check out. That’s just me.

@zm1

What you’re forgetting is that most of these people are cowards and would never talk this way face to face. It’s easy here because it’s anonymous. I doubt there will be anything major. Just a lot of shunning and evil eye glaring.

@dab, I did think of that. Talk about a “hostile work environment”! Everyone may want to carry some popcorn in their bag so they can stop and enjoy the show when one of these crazies starts shouting in a nearby cubicle. Wheel up a chair and get a good seat. It’s gonna be a RI0T! (Literally)

As has been said already, I think it’s pretty safe to assume that the expectations they’ve laid our will result in a wave of voluntary attrition - which they want. This may be good for the people who stay because it lowers the chances they’ll be pushed out. I’m 100% remote, so I’m pretty sure my days here are numbered. But If I was near a hub, I’d be cheering for as many people as possible to be angry at the policy and just leave on their own.

Bro, they're like Santa. They see you when you're logged on and active and when you aren't. You know there's a PPT that is telling them average active time. Data suggests we ain't cutting it at home.

I hate to tell you but getting a vaccine does not make you immune to COVID. So no thank you I have yet to hear from Chuck-less that they will keep the employees safe. I mean 3 people in an elevator??? It will take HOURS to get to your desk - or to your car if you are in a high rise. Maybe take 30 flights of stairs while not touching the rail.

What are they going to do when someone gets COVID - quarantine the whole building????? This seems really stupid. Charlie truly hates the employees. I am not against being in the office but this one size WILL fit all is d-mb.

I have a pregnant friend who was told by her OBGYN to not get the vaccine yet because it is still a relatively new vaccine and there are people who are having bad reactions with it. She has had a miscarriage previously (pre-pandemic). She's following the advice of her doctor.

People who are immediately spewing hate towards anyone who doesn't get the vaccine may not have all the information yet about that person's situation.

@rqk “Everytime you go psycho it makes me less likely to respect your wishes because you seem to need psycho therapy more than a vaccine.”

AMEN!

These people are absolutely crazy! I made my own choice to get vaccinated, but these rabid psychos who sp-t venom at everyone who chooses not to are going to be DANGEROUS! Which one of them is going to be the first to physically attack someone for their non-vaxxed status? I’m fully vaccinated, but if we need to be segregated, put me on a floor with in-jabbed. I’d rather take my chances with the delta variant than have to spend 3 days a week with these nut bags.

It's pretty simple.

If you work for someone, whether it's a private or public company - you follow their rules.

You're living on their dime.

You don't like it?

Then start your own business and make your own rules.

Grow up - no one owes you anything.

@wuo+1bRGFZ5n Why would you lie on a survey, about your vaccination status? Are you embarrassed or ashamed? Nobody is bullying you to get a vaccine. It’s your choice. People have lots of reasons to decide one way, or the other. But if you are lying about it, maybe you don’t even belief in your own reasoning. I have respect for people who make either decision - vaccinate or not — but not those who lie about it.

When the government and my employer have to desperately mandate, bully, coerce me to take a vaccination for a virus with a +99.xx% survival rate, I have to seriously question the intentions, science and rationale. I’ve already responded to my vaccination survey and lied.

Not a great move by the bank asking for vax status. I’m vaxxed myself but its a personal medical decision and everyone is different. What does this accomplish really? Everyone is coming in. Still, what really scares me is 8hrs of wearing a mask. I imagine if someone unvaxxed gets fired , its gonna open up potential lawsuits.

Also, the email was pretty vague on the distance thing and says remote work may continue. I think these people will be grandfathered in and no new jobs remote.

You are absolutely crazy. Ki----g people, ventilators etc etc. Whats with the hyperbole?

People who elect not to do the vaccine have almost always already had the virus and do respect itelligent safety measures same as others in handwashibg, distancing etc.

Everytime you go psycho it makes me less likely to respect your wishes because you seem to need psycho therapy more than a vaccine.

Your hatred of people makes me wonder why you want to remain above ground at all.

To the person who won’t come back to office unless office is sterilized……. I go into the office 2-3 times a week. They have been doing a great job cleaning and disinfecting and the ventilating systems have all been updated. EVERYWHERE! It’s awesome. All of this has been communicated many times. This is the least of anyones worries!!!

They can ask you: after travelling do you have to quarantine. If you have a vaccine you'd say 'no'... if you had no vaccine you'd have to respond 'yes'... so, they can figure it out indirectly.

Everyone makes choices.

Just lie on the vaccine survey, and say that you are vaccinated. They are not asking for proof. Then you don’t have to sit on the segregated floor. If they want your papers, say you lost them. It happens.

Not everyone is on Wells Fargo medical plans. So if your spouse has the health coverage, they don’t know if you went for a vaccine or not.

Im not going unless the place has been sanitized, vents are cleansed and everyone in the office has a vaccine. Otherwise it is a risk to my help and family's

On another note, a vaccine is not surgery only 2 shots.

Ya’ll might want tondo some research on employers asking about vax status before you go spending dough on a lawyer.

https://www.nfib.com/content/legal-blog/coronavirus/can-employers-ask-employees-about-their-vaccination-status/

Questions regarding vaccination status do not violate the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). HIPAA establishes restrictions on sharing information, not asking. In addition, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) indicated in its own guidance that an employer asking about an employee’s vaccination status does not violate any federal law. Rather, employers may ask their employees about their vaccination status, but should do so carefully to avoid violating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA).

Hub/location strategy was barely hinted at, but was there. By September/October I'd bet displacements happen to those not in hub locations, or you will be "invited" to relocate, then displaced if you don't rsvp with a 'yes'.
