Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Starting Sep 7th - Return to Work!

Just read the email from COO. We will be in office Three days a week and two days remote.

If you read the FAQ (must read), indirectly they are enforcing everyone to be in office . Also taking vaccination surgery is required and failure to do so will result in impact to performance evaluation.

Just tell them you're taking hydroxychloroquine and there's nothing to worry about. I mean we're all for private businesses being able to run their business they way they see fit, right?

"No company is entitled to my health info as per HIPPA." You might want to read up on that because you're statement is 100% wrong. Please stop spreading this nonsense.

I cant wait for the first conference room meeting where the two floors have to come together and the entire plan is undone.

I am also rooting for an outbreak on the vax floor

When vaccine status is a proxy for sincerely held religious beliefs or certain medical conditions that contraindicate vaccination, then they are wading into the waters of medical and religious discrimination. Hopefully a class action suit will push back on it. I've heard rumblings of one.

For you HIPAA warriors... From the Dept. of Health and Human Services:

3028 - If my employer requires proof of my COVID-19 vaccination status, does that violate my rights under HIPAA?
In general, the HIPAA Rules do not apply to employers or employment records. HIPAA only applies to HIPAA covered entities – health care providers, health plans, and health care clearinghouses – and, to some extent, to their business associates. If an employer asks an employee to provide proof that they have been vaccinated, that is not a HIPAA violation, and employees may decide whether to provide that information to their employer.

@ils -One thing I have done certainty over is that WF's lawyers are smarter than you. And HIPAA doesn't apply here.

@fce:

Yeah, we'll see how much they respect our privacy when they send out reminder emails saying "we know you have not responded yet to your vax status..."

Yes, they can segregate the non-vaccinated onto a separate floor.

It will do wonders for the “collaboration”. So many folks driving cars to office, to sit at a shared, contaminated desk, so they can put on noise cancelling headphones and then attend skype meetings with their colleagues who are all in different cities or countries.

Our managers are so old fashioned, last century thinkers. So out of touch, they actually think we are all co-located in same city. Always yapping about how you need to see your coworkers, never understanding that it will never happen.

As it should be. No colleagues should be put at risk because of idiocy of their co workers.

You can’t fly either without being vaccinated. I wouldn’t be surprised if some parents push school districts to make sure kids are vaccinated to go to school. Get used to it.

yeah, good luck with that.

No company is entitled to my health info as per HIPPA.

First - if "getting everyone together in same area", and this hub and spoke cr@p was such a good idea, why then do they have such a massive push to send jobs to India? Wouldn't they want to hire in USA so everyone can sit together and stare at the back of everyone's head? These mo--ns cant even get their narrative straight.

Second - as someone said yesterday - this move is to force attrition....the bank did just fine with everyone remote....and they saved the planet (no commute, no gasoline burned, less waste etc). And the work still got done. I thought we wanted to be environmentally friendly? Whats more environmentally friendly than reducing our dependence on fossil fuel?

no - this is 1000% a move to force you to quit.

This is what sociopaths do.

Next, know COVID aint over. Not by a long shot. The indian variant is spreading in USA and globally. Its wickidly easily transmissible. And they are mandating a return to work right before winter season when COVID is gonna go crazy. Also know that only about 55% of the adult population in USA is fully vaccinated. This is going to be an epic disaster.

Every country in southern latitudes right now is in winter and covid is raging out of control. Its as if these bone heads think that 560,000 dead americans isnt enuf. Go look up covid infection rates in australia, or anywhere in south america. Their seasons are opposite ours and its winter time there. These bone head executives dont care if we quit or get infected by covid.

Someone with legal background needs to look into a companies liability for mandating return to office, they get sick and die - what the companies liability is to the family.

You can also turn the tables by having them sign a contract that applies strict liability in the event of your death due to covid. If you get sick on the job, the company has to compensate your family - just like if you get ki---d in an auto accident that wasnt your fault. This might give these greedy fk's a pause...

These "leaders" are not epidemiologists, scientists or health experts.

They are sociopaths.

And its sickening that even Chainsaw Chukkie would stoop as low as using this pandemic as a way to force attrition.

Use DOL ADA as a guide to politely tell them to fuuk rite off.

you are required to tell WFC vax status, but must respect the privacy of your colleagues.

No, vaccination declaration isnt optional. Vaccines still are.

The part thats scary is using the data for "planning purposes" where I am sure they will segregate vaccinated out and divide the workforce like an election day poll station

Vaccination is not required but status of vaccination is.
