Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Something you should consider

Some of the posters out here assume that everyone speaking out against Charlie is a low-performing low-paid employee who is somehow beneath them in status or performance.

That is not always the case One does not have to be a low-performer to see the the pros and cons of our new CEO. There are high-rated high-performing individuals/managers who do not think Charlie is the right choice for Wells Fargo, it’s employees and shareholders. Yes we do monitor the board to keep our pulse on employee morale, and we do occasionally contribute.

We speak out to encourage you to think for yourself, to stand up for yourself, and to give you our thoughts on how to protect yourself and proceed in the current environment.

Hopefully you can tell the difference between a thoughtfully written post and one that is not.

Still waiting for any kind of substantive details on this alleged 'abuse', 'bullying' etc. that is happening everywhere. I truly sympathize with anyone that is legitimately abused at work, that would be horrible, I'm just not sure those claiming abuse in this thread really have been or if they just think baseless hyperbole is a strong argumentative tactic. Some people think getting a 'meets' rating or a raise smaller than they think they deserve is 'abuse', it seems. If there is some true abuse happening, I'd be interested in hearing the details. If you aren't going to lawyer up or escalate you could confide in your coworkers anonymously.

hey thanks previous poster, maybe consider the feelings of people you drive to even worse. Trying to drive their anxiety by having the good ol boys harass them. I feel no pain for people who go to means like this that violate ethics, morality and legal domains.

Well I hope you’re all proud of yourselves. We’re deprived of insider analysis because our resident expert is hurt by slurs like the Y—man word.

Maybe consider the feelings of management before you come on here to complain about being left jobless or being trapped in a mismanaged dead-end hellscape.

(Lmao)

@1hpk+199UoarP, @1mkf+199UoarP,

Hey you 2 bozos sound like the abusive people in our group. You smile and ask how are you while you are shoving a knife in peoples back.

You are much more toxic than anyone on this board and fake as they come

As usual, a few bad actors ruin it for everyone else.

My path is to ignore the bad actors. Don’t even downtick them. That is just confirmation for them that they succeeded in provoking.

Unfortunately, this website has been overrun by comments from manipulative people with negative intentions. Not all, but far too many. Good or bad post, unfortunately many replies are only from bullies, trolls, people who enjoy throwing out one-liner insults but don’t seem capable of contributing anything of real value.

If the employees of Wells Fargo were smart, they would come together and try to accomplish something good.

I am one of the people who has much to offer to the group, but am not willing to put in the time when it is not taken seriously. It is unfortunate, really.

I am not the OP, but are you proposing that only poor- performing employees are out here? Only people with negative intentions? I find it curious that you are suggesting the people who are on the very same website you frequent can’t be decent, smart, and higher up in the organization. What does that say about you?

Any given post gets 1000 to 2000 views. Of those views, typically only 10 to 30 reply. Who do you think the rest of us are?

OP, get lost, your a tech secretary, go use your spell check on more documents other people write that have the wrong content in them. You can't even identify it since only think you know is how to use spell check

and so OP/Einstein; are you thoughts jump ship? What current environment?

The same options always apply for someone to stay or go; leaving is very healthy too. Unhealthy here these workers come here to be complacent

OP here

Not everyone here has ulterior motives, and some actually want to help WFC employees in all the different ways that we can.

Op,

If you are a high-performing manager and you have to come here to check the “pulse on employee moral” then you are really just a clueless, out of touch manager and not as high performing as you think...

I appreciate this post.

There are good people at Wells Fargo who are trying to do the right thing, but are facing pressure from all sides. Yes I can tell the difference between an intelligent thoughtful post, and a post written to provoke, no matter if it is a POV I agree with or not.

I think anyone who encourages employees to stand up for ourselves and protect ourselves is a valuable source.

This post is evidence that that the review and ratings process will do long term damage as employees get pitted against each other. Make no mistake, for any role that is not numerical metric driven, your performance is strictly measured by the buddy system. This system can turn on you very quickly.

Some people will refuse to engage and get out, some will wield the knife and others will be stabbed, and the company will be worse for the wear and tear because management is always short sighted and rarely cares about unintended consequences for which they pay no price.

I don't think anyone is making that assumption. All that matters is the merit of the comments themselves. There's no mechanism here for establishing any kind of hierarchy (someone is below me, haha!) when it's entirely anonymous. Individual posters might think it, but who cares? I couldn't care less if some random anonymous person out there thinks they are better than me, lol.
