I will probably sound somewhat negative with this post, so I apologize in advance.
Over the past 8 years at WF, I have always performed or exceeded performance. A little over a year ago I accepted a new position in another area of WF to better grow my career and take on a new challenge. Shortly after starting I had a major medical issue and was on short term disability. Part of that included the month of January in 2020. I pushed myself to return at the end of January but struggled a little at work with adapting to multiple medications, going to therapy and working with EAC to get emotional therapy as well (the medical issue is quality of life altering). But by March, I hit my stride and was back to performing like I am use to.
Apparently that one quarter at the beginning of the year set the tone for the rest. I was rated at Inconsistently Meets that quarter and based off of the process, it didn’t change. My manager and their manager both indicated I am a strong Meets and even added me to a list of employees who they felt the rating should be changed (I guess there are only so many Meets that can be given).
Anyway, my rating impacted my compensation obviously. Not only did I not get a salary increase (at the top of my range or something like that) but my bonus was marked at 42%. Now, I feel that’s better than nothing given the companies situation, but it does not seem like there have been any complaints from those in the Meets rating.
Again, just venting. I am going to be calling HR tomorrow with my managers (and her manager) support.
