I know this has nothing to do with lay offs at the firm, but felt it’s the only outlet for my stress level at the moment... so thank you for letting set this platform.
Been with the firm for over decade. Started as a bright eye bush tailed go- getter for the first 1/2 of my career here and wore my “WF team member badge” proudly. Telling everyone that I work for WF Corporate and remembered the respectful and sometimes envies looks on their faces.
Fast forward to 2020, morale is at its lowest I’ve ever seen at the firm. I’m now embarrassed to even mentioned I work for WF, and the look of pity some people now give me once they do find out.
I work close to 50+ hours weekly for the past 9 months to meet unattainable deadlines. I feel like I’m use as a scapegoat if deliverables aren’t met. It’s a thankless job with five different (sometimes more) different business units to catered to with no more than two groups ever on the same page at one time and that is if I’m lucky that week.Satisfied one group, you p-ss-d off four others with them yelling at you on why they disagreed with you at the last min. before project deadlines and uses “candor” as an excuse to reject your deliverables because it did’t met their goals for their leadership team to jock for future positions for themselves and their buddies. use as the scapegoat on why things are not getting done vs being honest and have decency to admit, processes are broken... I can go on and on..
This job-lead me to major anxiety attacks and insomnia due to the stress level and have left me so sad at the end of every work day where I have to step away to cry in my garage so my family can’t see or hear me since we are all working from home until further notice.
